DJ Shifty aka Dan Johnston started djing in 2002 within this short amount of time he has achieved quite a lot.  He started off as a university dj playing r+b and hip hop.  Dan then went on to be a scratch dj for metal band Fatal Error who were voted Essex Metal Band of the month in may and june 2003.  He played gigs in many essex venues with up to 200 people comming to watch the band. 

In september 2003 dan started at Southdowns College portsmouth studying music technology.  Then in May 2004 he played a set at vinyl meltdown which was held at Vannilla Bar portsmouth and came third in his heat.

DJ Shifty plays r+b and Hip Hop with some elements of scratching present.  He also produces some drum and bass tracks
